My name is Michael Zurba, and I am the Grade 1–5 Physical Health & Education teacher and Grade 6/7 ELA teacher. This is my third year teaching in China and my third year at CIS.
I graduated from Simon Fraser University in Canada with a Bachelor of Arts in French and Education. I have experience teaching both elementary and high school students and also had the opportunity to teach abroad in France for two years.
I am passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to learn. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students develop new skills, build confidence, overcome challenges, and grow both academically and personally.
