Tim Chia

I am excited to be your teacher this year, guiding you through High School Business and Middle School Science. Originally from Sydney, Australia, I bring real world experience to the classroom, informed by my background in Marketing within the Oil and Gas industry. This experience allows me to connect real-world situations with the concepts we’ll explore during our lessons.

I hold a Master of Teaching degree from The University of Adelaide, where I developed my passion for education and deepened my understanding of effective teaching strategies. I believe fostering a supportive environment where curiosity thrives is essential.

My teaching philosophy is centred around building strong relationships with my students and fellow educators. I believe that when we have strong connections, we can collaborate more effectively, leading to a richer and more practical learning experience. I want you to feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and ideas so we can all learn from one another. Together, I hope we can create an engaging classroom where we can explore the wonders of science and the complexities of business in a hands-on way.
