My name is Ysabel Yang, and I have been the Mandarin Teacher and Head of the Mandarin Department at Clifford International School since 2014.
My teaching career spans over 17 years and has taken me across China and abroad. I have taught English and Chinese at various institutions, including Shaanxi Normal University, Liuzhou Teachers School, and Vietnam Hanoi Oriental University, where I served as Lead Teacher. I also worked as a Teaching Supervisor at Mandarin House School in Guangzhou, where I helped guide other educators in effective language instruction.
My goal is to create a supportive and engaging classroom where students feel encouraged to take risks with their language learning. I love seeing my students gain confidence, improve their communication skills, and develop a lasting interest in Chinese language and culture.
